"When I think “Student Shout Out” the first student that comes to mind is Skyler Cheney at MHS. I had the pleasure of meeting Skyler as my TIE this past semester. Skyler befriended my classroom of friends without hesitation. She was attentive to each student and truly listened to what they had to say. She was a helpful hand to anything we needed. Skyler is a warm hearted student with smile on her face. She is an absolute pleasure! I cannot wait to see where life takes her! Thank you, Skyler!"

Emotions are complicated. From toddler tantrums, to elementary melt-downs, to teenage blow-ups, navigating strong emotions can be challenging. Helping children learn to identify and name the emotion they are feeling is an important step in knowing how to handle strong feelings.
