Oxbow is incredibly lucky to have Carrie Farnum as a Literacy and Writing support Paraprofessional. Carrie is a retired HVS teacher that came back to work as a Para to spread her love of learning with the students at Oxbow Elementary. Carrie goes above and beyond to help lead reading through her extensive experience in reading and explicit writing instruction to enhance student learning. Chelsea Lewis is a 7th grader at White Lake Middle School and has had a very successful academic and athletic year. She competed in the Michigan State Gymnastics Championship finishing 2nd in her division and maintains a 4.0 GPA.

Thank you to Jeff Sweeney and the Huron Valley Numismatic Society for the book donation to our HVS libraries. The coin club presented the books at White Lake Middle School. The books will be handed out to the other buildings next week for all HVS students to enjoy!

Construction continues at our High Schools – new offices and secured entry ways are taking form at Lakeland HS and International Academy-West. Along with tile, painting and flooring upgrades to the lower-level of LHS and the 600 wing at MHS is almost complete.

The Milford HS Vocal Music Department will present its annual Spring Choral Concert tonight - May 3 - at 7pm in the MHS Performing Arts Center. The concert will feature all choirs at MHS and admission is free.

Future HVS kindergartens attended K-Day at our elementary schools this morning. Children and parents were able to see their new school and ride the bus. Spring Mills even had a 'signing day' table for photo opportunities!
