Tonight, HVS Board of Education honored outgoing board member President Sean Carlson for his 14 years of service on the board. With a packed house to say farewell — over a dozen teachers, members of transportation, principals and more were recognized by Mr. Carlson for making an impact on the district and his own children’s lives. The Milford Miracles program raised over $10,000 this holiday season. The program supports local families in need. Mrs. Lutz’s 3rd hour students, many in Leadership class, raised the most funds and helped shop for the adopted families. Great job! #HVSsuccess

Harbor’s High Honors students were rewarded “Golden Tickets” for earning high marks in their first trimester classes. Each trimester Mr. Pouliot and Mr. Lawson plan a field trip to celebrate the students. This year -- watch a film at Milford Independent Cinema! #HVSsuccess

Last night, Kurtz Elementary School Principal Steve Chisik was recognized as Oakland County's Principal of the Year Honoree, at the Michigan Elementary and Middle School Principals Association’s Annual Conference. Congratulations on this wonderful honor! #HVSsuccess

Right now, Lakeland High and International Academy-West student leaders are hosting their annual Holiday Hope for Kids party. The student leaders raised money to buy gifts for HVS and Oakland County special needs students, teachers and their classrooms. So much fun! #HVSsuccess

White Lake Middle School 8th Grader Isabella Gutierrez had her Patriot's Pen essay chosen to advance to regional level. The nationwide youth competition had students write on an annual patriotic theme, "My Pledge to Our Veterans". Great job and good luck Isabella! #HVSsuccess

Lakeland Football Team was awarded Academic All-State Honors. The Eagles are one of the top four teams in Division 2, and eight student-athletes earned individual Academic All-State Honors. Congratulations! #HVSsuccess

At tonight’s board meeting, White Lake Middle School shared how Career Day gives their 7th and 8th graders a chance to get real life connections on many different jobs. Ms. Fogleman and Mrs. Welch are the driving forces behind this educational day. #HVSsuccess
