Congratulations to three teams that were named Academic All-State this past weekend.
The Lakeland Boys Basketball Team earned honors with a 3.741 GPA.
Both the Huron Valley United Boys and Girls Swim and Dive teams matched their success in the pool this season with excellence in the classroom this school year.
The Girls Swim and Dive team earned MISCA Team Academic All State with the 3rd highest team GPA in Division 1. The Boys Swim and Dive team moved up a spot from their 2nd place finish last season, earning MISCA Team Academic All State Honors with the best team GPA in Division 1! This is the first top finish for any Boys or Girls Swim and Dive team in district history.
Both teams had the 4th highest GPA in the state, across all divisions, while each extending their team Academic All State streak to 4 straight seasons.
At the National Level, the Girls Swim and Dive team earned NISCA National Scholar Team Gold award, while the Boys team earned the NISCA National Scholar Team Silver Award. This is the 4th straight national scholar team award for the Girls team, and 3rd straight Gold Award, the top honor. The Boy's team extended their own national scholar team streak to three years with this year's Silver Award.
