Another great year for Huron Valley Recreation & Community Education’s Trick or Trucks! Over 500 trick or treaters showed up tonight to see the 30+ trucks and have some Halloween fun! #hvssuccess

As part of Safety Week here at HVS, Highland Twp. Fire Department Fire Marshall Sean came to Apollo to teach students about fire safety. They learned how to exit a space safely ("get out, stay out"), how to stop drop and roll, the importance of a family meeting spot! #hvssuccess

Congratulations to Lakeland High School Junior Olivia Hill. She brought home 4 individual state championships and 2 reserve state championships at the Michigan Interscholastic Horsemanship Association (MIHA) State Championship las weekend in Midland. Great job! #hvssuccess

ICYM Milford High School Academic Honors Ceremony, which took place Wednesday, October 12, will be airing on HVS-TV. Congratulations to everyone honored! #hvssuccess

Students in Harbor’s 21st Century Skills class are working on a public service announcement project. They are learning camera work, storyboards, writing, directing, and editing. Topics include mental health, bullying, dangers of vaping, and drug abuse awareness. #hvssuccess

"Bullying is not ok. It never has been and never will be." Wise words from Kurtz Elementary students at Monday night's board meeting. The students talked about bullying, what it is and what we can do to help prevent it. The students also encouraged everyone to wear orange on Wednesday, Oct. 19th to show their support to Stop Bullying. #hvssuccess

DID YOU KNOW? Highland Elementary has a girls club, The Sisterhood of the Healthy Hounds. They meet after school to learn how to be healthy, gain self confidence, and more. Last week the girls focused on working together and practiced with the human knot game. #hvssuccess

Slimed for a good cause! During the Lakeland High School pep assembly last week, there was a fundraising competition between staff members for Multiple Sclerosis. Libby Held, Assistant Principal at LHS won the competition, so she was slimed! #hvssuccess
