In addition to his coaching responsibilities, Mango teaches seventh- and eighth-grade social studies at White Lake Middle School, where he was named Huron Valley Schools’ Middle School Teacher of the Year in 2024.

The district recognized Mango for his dedication to students and his work as a teacher, coach and mentor. He was praised for working tirelessly to ensure students have the tools they need to succeed.

“Being honored with this award means a lot,” Mango said following his Teacher of the Year recognition. “I've had so many great colleagues, students and families in our community provide support and feedback as I continue to improve as a teacher.”

Mango also expressed his appreciation for the teaching profession and the White Lake school community, noting how fortunate he feels to be part of such a supportive environment.

His Regional Coach of the Year recognition further highlights his commitment to helping students succeed in the classroom and in athletics.

Huron Valley Schools congratulates Mango on this latest honor and thanks him for his continued dedication to Lakeland High School, White Lake Middle School and the district community.
