What began with ceremonial shovels and community celebrations has now become a reality as heavy equipment, construction crews and earth-moving equipment are actively transforming two Huron Valley Schools campuses.
Following groundbreaking ceremonies held this spring, construction is officially underway on both the district's new middle school campus and the extensive additions and renovations at White Lake Middle School. The projects represent a significant milestone in Huron Valley Schools' long-term commitment to providing modern learning environments for current and future students.
At the future middle school site, crews have begun site preparation as work moves forward on the district's newest school. The project is part of Strategic Plan 2.0 and was made possible through the support of voters who approved the district's 2024 bond proposal.
When complete in 2028, the new middle school will feature state-of-the-art classrooms, collaborative learning spaces and modern amenities designed to support generations of Huron Valley students.
About 15 miles away, construction is also progressing at White Lake Middle School, where crews are working on a major expansion and renovation project that will modernize the existing campus while creating additional learning space for students.
The work follows a groundbreaking celebration in May, where district leaders, staff, students and community members gathered to mark the beginning of the multi-year project.
As construction equipment continues to reshape both campuses, district leaders say each load of earth moved and every foundation poured brings Huron Valley Schools one step closer to delivering learning environments designed for the future.
