MILFORD, Mich. — Huron Valley Schools has announced that Steve Digsby, current principal of Muir Middle School, has been selected as the next principal of Milford High School following an extensive interview process.

Digsby will succeed Kevin McKenna, who is retiring after 26 years of dedicated service to Huron Valley Schools, including the past 15 years as principal of Milford High School.

"Mr. Digsby is an exceptional leader who consistently puts students, staff, and families at the center of his work," Superintendent Dr. Paul Salah said. "I am confident Milford High School will continue to thrive under his leadership."

The district extends its sincere appreciation to McKenna for his 26 years of dedicated service to Huron Valley Schools. His leadership at Milford High School has helped foster a culture of excellence, pride, and support that has positively impacted generations of students, staff, and families.

A graduate of Lakeland High School, Digsby began his career with the Huron Valley School District in 2008 as a social studies teacher. Since then, he has served in several leadership roles, including being named principal of Muir Middle School in 2012.

As principal of Muir Middle School, Digsby has been recognized for his commitment to supporting students and staff while maintaining a focus on academic excellence and student well-being.

Digsby will assume his new role effective July 1, ensuring a smooth transition as Milford High School prepares for the 2026-27 school year.
