Fifth grade students at Oxbow Elementary recently stepped into the future of learning during an exciting visit from the Oakland Schools STEMi Mobile Innovation Station. The hands-on experience gave Oxbow Owls the opportunity to explore science, technology, engineering and math through engaging activities designed to spark curiosity and creativity.

The STEMi Mobile Innovation Station is a 1,000-square-foot traveling lab that brings Industry 4.0 technology directly to schools across Oakland County. Inside the mobile lab, students worked with high-end industry equipment while learning from experts with real-world STEM experience.

Throughout the experience, students participated in a variety of interactive STEM activities that encouraged problem-solving, teamwork and critical thinking. The program is designed to help students explore engineering practices, build confidence in their abilities and introduce them to future career opportunities in STEM-related fields.

The visit provided an exciting opportunity for students to see how classroom learning connects to real-world innovation and technology. By bringing advanced tools and hands-on learning directly to schools, the STEMi Mobile Innovation Station helps inspire the next generation of engineers, innovators and creators.

Oxbow’s fifth grade students had a fantastic time learning, exploring and discovering new possibilities during their STEMi experience.
