Huron Valley Schools Staff Receive 'Stop the Bleed' Training on Professional Learning Day
During today’s Professional Learning Day, Huron Valley Schools staff participated in a critical training session focused on 'Stop The Bleed', a national initiative designed to empower individuals to act quickly and effectively in emergency situations involving severe bleeding.
The hands-on training equipped staff members with the knowledge and confidence to respond in the crucial minutes before emergency medical professionals arrive — potentially saving lives in the event of an accident or crisis.
These valuable sessions were made possible through the support and coordination of DMC Huron Valley-Sinai Hospital, which partnered with a team of experienced trainers and volunteers from across metro Detroit. Their collective expertise ensured that every participant gained practical, real-world skills in bleeding control and emergency response.
Huron Valley Schools extends its sincere appreciation to the many community partners who made this important day possible, including:
Corewell Health
Trinity Health
Detroit Receiving Hospital
McLaren Hospital
Henry Ford Hospital
Highland Township Fire Department
Commerce Township Fire Department
White Lake Fire Department
Milford Township Fire Department
Together, these partnerships demonstrate a shared commitment to the safety and well-being of students, staff, and the entire Huron Valley community.
