National merit finalists

Huron Valley Schools proudly recognizes its outstanding students for earning top honors in the prestigious National Merit Scholarship Program.

IAW students, James Bottomley and Anna Linen (pictured above), have been named National Merit Semifinalists, placing them among approximately 16,000 students nationwide selected from a pool of 1.3 million participants. Semifinalists represent less than one percent of U.S. high school seniors and have the opportunity to continue in the competition for more than 6,800 National Merit Scholarships totaling nearly $26 million.

In addition, several students from International Academy West and one from Milford High School have been recognized as Commended Students, ranking among the top 50,000 high-achieving students out of the 1.5 million who took the PSAT/NMSQT.
