Laura Dodd was first appointed to the board to fill a vacancy and was later elected. She currently serves as the board's vice president and chairs the Communications, Marketing, and Legislative Committee. Mrs. Dodd and her husband, Christian, have one daughter who attends Kurtz Elementary. Mrs. Dodd has spent her career in the nonprofit sector and currently works with Oakland County Economic Development supporting small businesses.
