Four LHS students were selected for the WMU All-Star Band, which will play at WMU on 4/14. These students will perform with 100 high school students from Michigan.

Congratulations to the Huron Valley Winter Guard who had an awesome performance at the Troy MCGC Invitational walking away with a FIRST PLACE win in their class with a score of 72.36! Way to go HVA!!!

Yesterday, at the Gibraltar Carlson Invitational Drum Line, Huron Valley Percussion had a great performance in competition and finished in 2nd place with a 77.05. The group has been working incredibly hard & is gearing up next for State Championships held at Lakeland April 9th!
Alumni Alert! Congrats to Nic Antaya, Class of 2014, on being named the National Press Photojournalist Association Emerging Photojournalist of the Year for 2021 in their Best of Photojournalism contest! Nic is a freelance photojournalist based in Detroit, Michigan. He regularly photographs news, portraits, sports and photo essays for clients including The New York Times, The Washington Post, Getty Images, among many others.
Alumni Alert! Congrats to Ronnie Attard, Class of 17, on winning his second First Team NCHC award while playing hockey for WMU. Ronnie is the 1st player in WMU history to be selected to the 1st team twice. In 2019 Ronnie was drafted in the NHL Draft by the Philadelphia Flyers.
It's National School Social Work Week, and at HVS, we have some of the best. These professionals help students deal with mental health and behavioral challenges and provide academic and classroom support. They also help in developing education policies and work with teams to support crisis interventions. Thank you, HVS social workers! #HVSProud
