Lakeland High School Arts

Lakeland High School Arts encourage students to expand their critical thinking skills and deepen their understanding of the visual and performing arts through authentic, hands-on experiences.  This is augmented by introducing students to historical and cultural influences.  We believe all students have the ability to succeed and flourish through the arts.

Students are also encouraged to open their horizons in the world of music through the instrumental and vocal music programs. These programs help showcase some of the diversity of programming that we offer here at Lakeland High School. Our instrumental and vocal music programs regularly perform at various community events throughout the Huron Valley area. The Huron Valley Marching Band, a combination of students from Milford High School, Lakeland High School, and the International Academy West perform in various parades and compete in the Michigan Competing Bands Association where they are consistent state championship qualifiers.
