Lakeland is now officially on Winter Break! Classes will resume on Monday Jan 8th, 2024 at the normal school start time. As a note staff members will be away on the break, so response times will be slower or not until after the break. Enjoy the time off Lakeland! See you in 2024!

Throwback Thursday!
The LHS JOI Club visited with 2nd graders from Mrs. Sadler, Fedorka, and Stackpoole’s classes at Oxbow. They helped them with a Thanksgiving craft and read with them at story time! They ended the day by passing out goodie bags and getting to the know them!

In holiday math fun Ms. Prior's class made cookies to demonstrate the normal curve or bell curve. The normal curve is used to characterize complex constructs containing continuous random variables. Many phenomena observed in nature have been found to follow a normal distribution.

Don't forget to participate in our Holiday Dress Up days here at Lakeland the week of Dec 18th! GO EAGLES!

Lakeland High School is saddened to report the loss of Lakeland Junior Joseph Paduchowski. We are all thinking of his family and our Lakeland family at this tough time. Counseling services are available for any student who is in need of them through our Student Services Department and we encourage any student who feels the need to talk to reach out and use these services provided over the coming days.
The Lakeland community sends our deepest condolences to the Paduchowski family. Joseph Paduchowski was an amazing student who always had a smile on his face. His memory will always live on as an Eagle.

Sophomores,
If you are interested in the field of Cosmetology, consider attending Cosmetology Information Night at OSTC-NE Pontiac (Oakland Schools Technical Campus). This event offers parents & students the opportunity to tour the school and hear about the program requirements & curriculum. The northeast campus is located at 1371 N. Perry St., Pontiac. Students enrolled in an OSTC program split their school day between Lakeland HS and the technical campus during their junior & senior years.
