Favorite memories: Mr Howe’s AP government class always sticks with me but ultimately being a part of the marching band at LHS and all the fun that came with it. Alumni Spotlight! Charles Ray Taylor! Class of 1979! Favorite LHS memories are running track and cross-country under coach Randy Wilkins and enjoying time with teammates. I am the John A. Murphy Professor of Marketing at Villanova University, and live with my wife and children in the Philadelphia area. I have been named to a list of the World's Top 2% of Scientists complied by researchers at Stanford University and also write a column for Forbes. In addition, I have won lifetime contribution awards from the American Academy of Advertising and European Advertising Academy for outstanding contribution to advertising research. I am also frequently quoted in the media and am writing a book about Super Bowl advertising. #WeAreLakeland #Lakeland50

Due to the canceled school days, we’ve adjusted the exam schedule as follows: Tuesday, January 21, 2025, School Canceled Wednesday, January 22, 2025, School Canceled Thursday, January 23, 2025, will be a FULL school day. This will give our staff and students some time to refresh and review materials before exams as planned. Friday, January 24, 2025, HALF DAY of school with exams for 1st and 4th hours. Monday, January 27, 2024, HALF DAY of school with exams for the 2nd and 5th hours. Tuesday, January 28, 2025, HALF DAY of school with exams for the 3rd and 6th hours. Daily Exam Schedule: 7:22 – 8:52 (90 Minute Exam) 8:52 – 9:01 (9 Minute Passing) 9:01 – 10:31 (90 Minute Exam) We encourage all students to review their study guides, previous assessments, and notes while checking Google Classroom. Wednesday, January 29, 2025, will be the first day of the 2nd semester. Ensure your student has their new schedule, which can be found on Skyward. Athletic Information All indoor athletic games and practices for Tuesday and Wednesday are on as scheduled. Outdoor practice and competitions (SBX and Ski) are canceled. Alumni Spotlight! Daniel Watterson! Class of 2000! His memory of Lakeland is that he absolutely loved Mrs. Kane and the Creative Metals classes. Being able to create my own jewelry was great but helping her as a TA was just as rewarding. She took the time to teach me how to teach other's and cultivate their creativity is something I use to this very day as a Scout leader. He currently has a wife and 3 son's who are all in Scouting as well as Band who all keep me very busy. #WeAreLakeland #Lakeland50
