It is with great enthusiasm that I join Lakeland High School as one of your assistant principals. I am eagerly looking forward to getting to know the staff and students, as I have heard nothing but fantastic things about this team.

I obtained a bachelor's degree in special education from Western Michigan University and went
on to complete a master’s degree in educational leadership through Marygrove College. I spent
just over eight years as a special education teacher before moving into administration, where I
have had the privilege to serve for the past year and a half.

I have lived on the west side of the state all of my life and have traveled to the area for several
years to visit my long-term boyfriend’s family. After much consideration, we finally decided that
we wanted to move to be closer to his family and enjoy all of the things we love about the area. I
can’t wait to learn more about the community and get involved.

It is my goal to immerse myself in the school culture and help ensure a safe and positive
learning environment for students and staff. I look forward to assisting in maintaining a culture of high expectations and challenging our young people to strive to become the best versions of
themselves. It is my honor and privilege to join your team, and I can’t wait to get started!

Welcome to Lakeland Miss Haney!
