Today Lakeland English teacher and yearbook advisor Mr. Mike Head was presented with his Michigan Education Association Region 7 Teacher of the Year Award, which encompasses 31 school districts in Oakland County. He was also recognized as the Huron Valley Education Association 2022 Outstanding Person in Education. Head has been a teacher in Huron Valley for 26 years, all of which have been in the English Department at Lakeland. All of us here at Lakeland are honored to have Mr. Head as a teacher and staff member. His tireless work on behalf of Lakeland and its students is seen everyday.
