Lakeland Honors Pre-Calculus students Andrew Furlotte, Connor Zimmerman, and Nate Behmlander pose with their Conic Sections Project where each student group was responsible for creating a hole for a putt-putt golf course. Students in Mrs. Eckerle's class were required to include conic sections as well as straight lines, using the properties of conic sections to drive their sketch. These young men designed a Star Wars themed Millennium Falcon hole for their project. Projects from 2nd hour and 5th hour were combined to create the whole course, where students and parents were invited to play and provide feedback.
