The Lakeland Athletic Department is proud and excited to announce that two senior student-athletes representing Lakeland teams have been selected as finalists for the MHSAA Scholar-Athlete Scholarship (see PR link below).
Caiden Carlson is a 3-sport (tennis, basketball, golf) varsity athlete, and Maeve Spicer is 2-sport (sideline cheer, gymnastics) varsity athlete. Both are exceptional students -- Caiden at LHS and Maeve at IAW.
Six winners of the 24 finalists in each gender for Class A schools will be announced on February 22nd.
The following student-athletes were also nominated for the recognition: Summer Ambler, Bryn Dubin, Julia Fledderjohn, Grace Glossinger, Grace Goodnough, Jordyn Sienkiewicz, Allison Thomson, Tate Farquhar, and Kenneth Hagle.
