Hello Lakeland Community!!
We are so excited to be just 1 week away from the 2025 Lakeland High School Homecoming Parade! We hope to see a jam-packed parade route on Friday, September 26th at 5:30pm! Our route will begin at Lakewood Elementary School, travel around the campus, and end near Lakeland's football stadium. The parade will end just in time to enter the stadium and cheer on our Lakeland Eagles football team as they battle for the W against Waterford Kettering on Friday, September 26th. The Lakeland Homecoming theme this year is The Great Gatsby!
It's not a parade without floats and other parade entries. It's not too late to register! We'd love to have representation from the following:
Each school with students who will eventually attend Lakeland High School (this includes band, fall sports, and/or any clubs at the school)
Lakeland High School (freshman class, sophomore class, junior class, senior class, Homecoming Court, fall sports, clubs, band, etc.)
International Academy
Local businesses or organizations
This is a community event, and we will need A LOT of community members to come together to make it a success. If you're interested in being part of a parade float/entry for your school, please work with your building leaders to formulate a plan - there's still time and I'm here to help you! If you're a local business owner and would like to be in our parade to promote your business, we'd love to have you! However, please understand that this parade will not welcome any sort of political entries or messaging.

Overall Theme: The Great Gatsby
(Note: Ideally, parade entries should align with the theme but it is not required. You could simply walk with a banner stating your group's name.)
Important Dates:
The parade is Friday, September 26 at 5:30pm
The football game is Friday, September 26 at 7pm (against Waterford Kettering)
The dance is Saturday, September 27

A few announcements and reminders so that the evening can be enjoyable for our entire community:
If you are in the parade, please do not arrive for staging any earlier than 4:45pm.
The Lakewood parking lot needs to be CLEAR by 4:15pm to allow for parade set-up.
If your student is walking with a float/entry in the parade and you need to drop them off at the parade staging area, please enter the White Lake Middle School parking lot and drop off where the WLMS lot meets the Lakewood lot, then circle around and exit (or park to enjoy the parade).
The main entrance to campus will close at 5:15pm to prepare for the parade start at 5:30pm. See attached parade route map for parking options around campus and please avoid parking in the areas designated as "no parking" zones.
Parade Entry awards will be announced at the football game.
Some parade entries will be passing out candy. They have been asked to walk candy to you near the curb. Please keep children safe on the curb and do not allow them to run into the parade traffic for candy. We're proud of our campus - please don't leave a mess behind.
