This past Saturday was the State Solo and Ensemble Festival for the Michigan School Band and Orchestra Association. The festival was held at Livonia Churchill HS. Our band students from IA West, Lakeland, and Milford that qualified for States performed throughout the day, and they were incredible! We had 100% of our students medal!!! 68 Individual medals were awarded to HVS students. Of those, 3 were Division II ratings, and 65 were Division I ratings (Division I is the highest rating possible). We are so incredibly proud of everyone one of them who pushed to compete at the state level, and for every student to medal on top of that was so amazing to watch!
