White Lake Township Supervisor Kowall and Trustee Voorheis had the honor to award LHS Senior Michael Vanderwill with a scholarship check for $5,000 as the winner of the Fran Anderson Making a Difference Essay Scholarship. Michael wrote a beautiful essay highlighting his volunteerism throughout his life, starting from a very young age and how it impacts the young man he is today. After the scholarship presentation, Michael, Supervisor Kowall and Trustee Voorheis were part of the Holiday Extravaganza Parade in Pontiac. Congratulations Michael, White Lake and Lakeland are proud of you, keep making a difference in our community!!
