Mrs. Lozon's 6th grade social studies students used oranges to diagram lines of latitude and longitude, locate and draw hemispheres, and attempted to make a round earth (peel) lie flat for a map! #wearemuir

8th grade Engineering students learned how to determine the direction and trajectory of a rocket through design, creation and trial! #wearemuir

Mrs. Puffer's 8th grade ELA students analyzed characterization and theme in Paul Fleischman’s Seedfolks by growing actual grass seed folks. #wearemuir

Mrs. Saks and Ms. Ryan's 6th grade ELA classes embarked on a quest to apply figurative language skills to The Lightning Thief. Students learned about character, conflict, setting as well as how to use literary devices such as sensory language, simile and alliteration. #wearemuir

8th grade science students extended their learning from last week's water quality field trip with connected in class activities. #wearemuir

7th grade team day and tie dye activities were a blast! Staff and students made shirts and participated in fun, team building activities. #wearemuir
