Mrs. Qualley's Senior Composition students had the opportunity to practice their interviewing skills. Students were interviewed by professionals who work in their prospective fields and received constructive feedback on how to improve for future interviews. Overall, it is an excellent opportunity for these graduating seniors and a special thank you to all of our community members.

Genisys Credit Union was at Milford High School all day Friday in what has become an annual event thanks to teacher Heather Lutz. Their Reality Fair is visited by students from a variety of finance and economics classes within the building. Students are given a budget and have to live within their means. It is a great learning opportunity to prepare students for life after high school.










Today we held a Winter Assembly to cheer on our winter athletes and check out a Unified scrimmaged. Unified Basketball's first game will be home January 7th at 4pm.

Today seven former MHS AP Calculus students from the classes of 2023 and 2024 visited this year's AP Calculus class to offer advice on AP exam strategies, and college and career planning, particularly in STEM fields. It was so generous of them to wake up early on their first Friday morning off after their university exams to share their wisdom with MHS students. Their insights were very helpful to the current seniors in AP Calc!

Congratulations to Kelly Hemmerling for receiving a grant from Jeff Moore from Horace Mann Insurance. It will be used for activities in her AP Calculus AB class.

MHS students took a field trip to OCC today. They were able to tour the campus and plan for their futures.

Yesterday Milford and Lakeland students attended Mi Career Quest at the Suburban Collection Showplace. Students were able to get a hands-on experience with professionals in a variety of fields.







HVS had many students selected to the MSBOA District IV Honor Bands this week! The students were selected from several hundred nominations from directors in south east Michigan. The group will perform on January 11th at Clarkston High School in the Honor Band Concert. Milford students include: Erik Pishek - clarinet, Macy Shaw - flute, Madeline Keating - oboe, Vinny Prevete - trombone, and Carter Swarthout - tuba. Congratulations, Mavs!

Milford High 2024 NHS Induction Ceremony. Nearly 50 new members were inducted and participated in the pledge and lighting of the four candles representing the principles of scholarship, service, leadership, and character. These students demonstrate excellence in their commitment to their academic pursuits and service to their community. Special thanks to Jennifer Hittle for mentoring this impressive group of student leaders!
A blast was had by all at the Milford Homecoming pep rally! Teacher lip sync battle, hungry hippos, tug of war, and more!

Congratulations to our 2024 Region B Division B Champions! The Milford Equestrian Team was victorious and clinched the Championship in this weekends Regional Equestrian Team Meet! The team battled hard against the seven other teams and ended up earning an impressive 420 points! The girls also ended up winning multiple individual regional championship titles!


FUTURE PATHWAYS IS TONIGHT! Come to the MHS Aux Gym from 6:00-7:30 and visit with professionals in the trades, armed forces and higher education. We look forward to seeing you there!
