NEWSPAPER (MHS Only) Grades 10, 11, 12 One Semester/.5 credit or 1 Year/1 credit Prerequisite: Introduction to Journalism; Instructor Approval
Students in this class will plan, produce, and distribute the school newspaper. Working individually and as a group, students will perform various journalistic duties associated with the function of this small business, including advertising sales, promotion, marketing, writing, design, layout, photography, editing, and proofreading. Students will formulate and follow schedules and will be required to meet deadlines without fail. Students may elect this course more than once; however, subsequent years receive general elective credit rather than English elective credit.
