Good Afternoon!
I wanted to share some exciting news for the Vocal Music Program! 15 students from Milford participated in MSVMA’s (Michigan School Vocal Music Association) Musical Theatre Solo and Ensemble hosted at Oxford High School, this past weekend.
Tia Beckman (8th grader at Muir), Amelia Dalbis, Lauren Gates, Shea Giese, Abbie Hess, Ella Kusina (I.A.), Savannah Lane, Austin Matlis, Joe Meagher, Allie Mobey, Hana Scripture, Bethany Stewart, Brendan Stewart, Peyton Wheeler & Ivy Williams all performed two contrasting pieces of Musical Theatre literature for a judge, who graded them on Tonal Beauty, Breath, Musical Elements, Language Elements, Interpretation, & Presentation. All students were extremely well prepared and received a 1-Rating, which allots to the highest quality of performance. 6 of these students received PERFECT scores.
This was a fantastic experience for our students and they represented our community at the highest level of excellence. I am so proud of them, honored to be their teacher, and be a member of the Huron Valley Community. Thank you all for always supporting The Arts in Huron Valley. We can't do it alone, and I thank the administration, board members, teachers, families, and community for all their help and support.
A special thanks to Mrs. Granroth and Mrs. Reed for spending hours rehearsing with and accompanying our students.

As you can see in the included picture, not only have these students been working toward Musical Theatre solo and ensemble but they are also involved in the MHS Fall musical, White Christmas! Please come out this weekend to see these wonderful students perform!
Also, our first choral performance is on December 14 at 7PM in the CPA, if you would like to enjoy more lovely holiday music!
