Last week, MHS students in both Construction and Advanced Construction courses traveled to the Operating Engineers Construction Center for Career Day!

The students learned from real construction professionals about their jobs, operated construction tools, machines and heavy equipment such as the giant crane and backhoe.

Students also had an opportunity to meet with representatives from various apprenticeship programs at large scale companies as well as 4 year university professors discussing Bachelors degree programs in Construction Management.

Overall, students experienced all the components that make up a career in the construction field at a hands-on “day-in-the-life” event!
