Each year, the Jo Elyn Nyman Anchors Program for Children serves approximately 80-90 children across the state of Michigan. Providing care and support to those from birth to young adulthood who are living with a terminal illness.
Milford High School's National Honor Society students went above and beyond, raising over $1,000 in monetary donations. These funds directly benefit the Gestures of Grace program, which offers financial assistance, memberships to local YMCAs, registration for inclusive sports teams, and other activities that improve the quality of life for the families we serve.
Additionally, the NHS students generously donated $745 worth of gift cards, which will be used to support families with gas, groceries, and other essential needs. They also contributed items from our Amazon Wish List, which are used by our Legacy Care Specialists to help families create lasting memory items.
A special thank you goes to the teachers and leaders at MHS for fostering an environment of giving back and service. And, of course, thank you to the families of these remarkable students for raising such kind-hearted individuals and making a lasting difference.
