Weekly Warrior Correction - Pokémon Go! Intramural - Today is the first day for this intramural. It is scheduled for Mondays and Wednesdays (dates on the permission slip are accurate). Is your student interested in participating? It is not too late to sign-up. Your student can turn in the completed permission slip to the main office. Payment can be made via e-Funds.

Reminder - Curriculum Night is tonight! You will have the opportunity to travel your child’s schedule and listen to the teachers discuss the curriculum and expectations for the 2023-2024 school year. Below is our schedule: 1st Hour: 6:05 p.m. – 6:15 p.m. 2nd Hour: 6:20 p.m. – 6:30 p.m. 3rd Hour: 6:35 p.m. – 6:45 p.m. 4th Hour: 6:50 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. 5th Hour: 7:05 p.m. – 7:15 p.m. 6th Hour: 7:20 p.m. – 7:30 p.m. We ask that children not attend this event as the evening is tailored to parents. We look forward to seeing you!

Reminder - All WLMS students will be taking the Math MAP test this Thursday and Friday during their math class. Students please get a good night's sleep, eat a healthy breakfast and remember to bring your charged Chromebook to school!

The Race to Raise has been officially kicked off! This is our PTSA's only fundraiser for the year. It is intended to fund planned activities for the entire 23-24 school year. This includes student activities, parties, recognition events, WLMS staff needs and a Glow Fest for our students. On the day of the event (10/5/2023), all students will walk to the LHS track during their electives, where they will receive a free WLMS shirt and walk/run the track. We will be raffling off prizes during the event and all students who raise $50 or more will be automatically entered to win! The Huron Valley Community Theatre is calling all middle schoolers! There are auditions for the upcoming production today at 7:00 pm at Milford High School. Check out the QR code for more information and instructions.

Free lacrosse clinic for girls in 1st - 8th grade. Meet the high school players and staff. All skill levels are welcome!!

Friendly reminder - WLMS is open to families this Monday - Thursday 8:00 am - 5:30 pm. Please feel free to check lockers, walk schedules and help your student feel ready-to-go for the first day! Students must be accompanied by an adult. The Main Office is open Monday - Thursday 8:00 am - 1:00 pm. Please feel free to drop off Plan of Cares, pick up yearbooks or ask any questions during this time!

WLMS Girls Volleyball season is upon us!! All WLMS 6th - 8th grade girls are welcome to tryout! Below is the tryout information for the 2023-24 season: Mon 8/28 3:30 - 5:00 pm - Skills Day Tues 8/29 - Thurs 8/31 3:30 - 5:00pm - Tryouts Girls will meet in the WLMS Gym. Please bring knee pads, athletic shoes and water (volleyballs are optional if you prefer to use your own. Please make sure it is standard size and is clearly marked with your name). If you are new to WLMS volleyball or have any questions please email Coach Brian Kennedy (brian.kennedy@hvs.org). NOTE: A valid physical (dated on or after 4/15/23) is required in order to participate. Physicals can be uploaded via Final Forms.

WLMS Cross Country optional summer practices start Monday, 8/21 at 9am. Athletes, meet coaches (Mrs. Smith and Mrs. LaRowe) behind WLMS. Summer practices will be Mondays and Wednesdays. Times vary. Please reference the WLMS Cross Country athletics page (https://sites.google.com/hvs.org/wlmscrosscountry/home) for all scheduling information and more!!! NOTE: Final Forms and a valid physical are required prior to participation. Physicals must be dated (by physician) on or after 4/15/23. Go Warriors!!!!

Middle School Girls Volleyball Tournament!! HVS Rec and Ed are sponsoring a girls volleyball tournament for our 3 middle schools. Tournament is Aug 15th 5:00pm - 9:00 pm. Cost is $10. Have bottles and cans lying around? Let us help you turn them into something wonderful for our Warriors!! 💚💛 WLMS PTSA will be running a bottle drive July 5-12! You can drop off bagged returnables to the trailer parked near the student drop off/pick up line at anytime! ALL funds collected with be put towards a new functional outdoor eating and learning space for students (similar to the one pictured below from Lakewood). Please share with friends, family and neighbors! Thank you for your support and any donations!!
