
Attention 8th grade families - The Incoming Freshmen Expo is TONIGHT at LHS from 5:30 pm - 7:00 pm. Please see the flyer below for additional details. This is a fantastic event that allows our students and families the opportunity to learn more about Lakeland High School, its academics, programs, clubs and sports.


8th grade Design students had a great visit to the DIA learning about the "hero's journey" and exploring the museum to look for artwork they connected with.




🏃♂️🏃♀️ Calling All Future Track Stars! 🏃♂️🏃♀️ WLMS families, the track season is almost here, and we can't wait to get started! If your student is interested in joining, don’t miss our Parent Information Night on March 11th at 7:00 PM in the White Lake Middle School Library (all information will be available online if you can’t make it). Track is an awesome sport for students of all skill levels—whether they’re sprinters, distance runners, or just looking to try something new, everyone is welcome!

Reminder - The WLMS Glow Fest 2025 is this Friday from 3 - 5 pm! This is presented by our WLMS PTSA. This event is for only WLMS students. There is no admission fee. Cash only concessions will be available. Go Warriors!

Intramurals! We have some additional intramural offerings for our WLMS students. There is a Lego intramural on Tuesdays and Thursdays and a Handheld Devices intramural on Wednesdays. Both start in March through the beginning of April (please check the permission slips for an exact list of dates).
We will also have a Coding intramural on Mondays and another session of our Homework Club on Wednesday for March and April. Stay tuned for dates and details!
Permission slips are available in the Main Office and also in our Weekly Warrior.




Attention WLMS 8th graders interested in Robotics - we will have a representative from the HVS HOT Robotics Team 67 in 8th grade lunch this Thursday to provide more information about the team. Flyers will be available for interested students to bring home. Applications will open in June.


Calling all WLMS 8th graders interested in joining the LHS Snowboard Cross Team next year! The team's last races of the season are this week at Alpine Valley. Come, check out the team and cheer them on!


Four WLMS students were chosen to participate in the Michigan Art Education Association (MAEA) Regional Art Exhibit. Please congratulate Melody Guerra-Edwinson, Anabelle Genslak, Mckenzie Barendse, and Kiana Lanzotti for their excellence in art. The exhibit opens this Thursday and there will be a closing reception on Wednesday, February 26th from 5-7pm at Detroit Country Day School in Beverly Hills, MI.

Our Science Olympiad Team, the Science Warriors, competed at the Frankenmuth Eagles Invitational this past Saturday. Congratulations on a job well done! Our Science Warriors will compete at the Oakland County Regional Invitational on March 1st at Detroit Country Day. Good luck Science Warriors!!









Rachel Hopmayer, sports anchor for CBS Detroit, spent the day in Mrs. Fogleman's sports classes to discuss her career. She shared stories of her journey and the significant impact middle school ELA had on that journey. Thank you Rachel Hopmayer!!





Detroit Lions Spirit Day tomorrow for staff and students. Dress in your Lions gear to show your spirit as our Detroit Lions face the Washington Commanders on Saturday. Go Lions! Go Warriors!

Friendly Reminder - Girls basketball tryouts start tomorrow after school! Below is the schedule:
Wed. 1/8 3:15 - 4:45 pm
Thurs. 1/9 3:15 - 4:45 pm
Fri. 1/10 3:15 - 4:30 pm
Final Forms must be completed and a valid physical must be on file for students to tryout. Tryouts are open to all WLMS girls in grades 6th - 8th grades. Packets are available in the main office.


New Intramurals!!!
We have the following new intramurals available for students:
Handwriting Club - Wednesdays Jan 15 - Feb 19
Homework Club - Jan 15, 22, 29 and Feb 6, 12, 26 (IA students will be present to assist students with their subjects)
Mini Sticks - Session 2 - Jan 27, 29 and Feb 3, 10, 12, 26
We will also be adding a Chess Club to our calendar. Stay tuned for more information!
Permission slips are available in the main office (links were also included in the Weekly Warrior). Intramurals have a one-time charge of $30 for the year. Enjoy as many intramurals as your student wishes for this one-time fee!

8th grade NJHS students designed and painted a banner for the Huron Valley community event celebrating Martin Luther King Day in downtown Milford. You can see their banner in the window of Dreamy Daze Boutique for the month of January.
