Announcements

In case you missed it - our 2025 Color Run raised over $38,000! We’re still in awe of the generosity of the

Kurtz community and can’t wait for all the ways this will support our students!

Breakfast with a Buddy is coming up this month! Tom’s Coffee Truck will also be onsite during the event.

Mark your calendars for this before school event on Friday, October 17 and watch for an email with details

coming soon.

Help Needed Volunteer opportunities at Kurtz require a current, approved CRC.

Grant Writer Grants are an easy and often underutilized way to help fund teacher programming

requests. We are looking for one or more volunteers to help locate and apply for grants. *We have

someone experienced with this who can point you in the right direction! Email

kurtzelementarypto@gmail.com for more information.

Popcorn Friday Many hands make light work of the many bags of popcorns produced for Popcorn

Fridays. This is a fun and easy way to get involved in something our students love. Sign up for as

many Fridays as you’d like and help pop, fill bags, and deliver popcorn to the classrooms.

Mileage Club If you enjoy being outside and encouraging outdoor activities, sign up to help with

mileage club during lunch recesses. You’ll help students track their laps and award charms for running

milestones. Sign up for as many club days as you’d like - Mileage Club is weather dependent.

Committee Chair Chairs are still needed to help lead the following PTO Committees:

● Yuletide Yoga & Cocoa and Crafts

● Restaurant Takeovers

● March family event (formerly Shamrock Shuffle)

● STEM Night

● Teacher/Staff Appreciation

No experience needed! We will pair you with a PTO board member or previous chair to guide you

through planning. Email kurtzelementarypto@gmail.com for more information.

Reminders

PTO membership is open to all parents and guardians of Kurtz students. Our goal is to raise funds and

organize events that directly benefit our children’s education and school experience. There are always

opportunities to help in any capacity - whether or not you’re able to attend the monthly meetings. Please

encourage fellow Kurtz families to reach out. We would love to have them! They can sign up here to stay

connected - no commitment required.
