Kurtz Elementary 2024 Talent Showcase
Hello Kurtz Families! We are thrilled to announce our Kurtz Elementary 2024 Talent Showcase, Kurtz Kidz Shine!
This showcase aims to celebrate all of our students' diverse talents in an inclusive environment where everyone is embraced. This is not a competition.
Are you a musician? Have an incredible dance routine? Can you tell funny jokes? Or do you create art? Do you have special skateboarding techniques? Can you juggle? Are you really good at throwing a football? Play in a rock band? Have a group of friends that wants to perform together?
The list is endless. Whatever special skill you have, you would be an excellent fit for our talent showcase! A little nervous about showcasing your talent? Don't worry! You can partner with a friend or mentor, or we can find someone with your talent to help on stage. We encourage group performances as well!
This year, our show will be held at the Milford High School at the Center of Performing Arts on Wednesday, April 10th. We are looking for a variety of Kurtz performers!
DETAILS: Who can sign up? All Kurtz students are welcome to sign up to showcase their special talents.
Talent Timing: Each talent must be at most 2 minutes in length.
**Action Required - Signup Here** Please fill out this Google form for all participants prior to auditions. We would ask that you sign up by March 14th so we can organize the students properly. Advanced registration is appreciated, but we will accept walk-ins at the audition.
Audition: On Thursday, March 21st, we will hold auditions in the Kurtz cafeteria starting at 4:15 pm. Our team of volunteers would like to see the talents to ensure proper timing, placement, appropriateness, etc. If you can't make it, we can arrange for another opportunity to audition during the school day! Just let us know!
Dress Rehearsal: Tuesday, April 9th, starting at 5:00 pm at the Milford High School at the Center for Performing Arts. Your student will have a chance to practice their talent on stage.
Talent Showcase: Wednesday, April 10th, starting at 6:00 pm (performers arrive at 5 pm). This will take place at the Milford High School at the Center of Performing Arts. The lobby will have a check-in location; all performers will stay backstage until their performance is complete. They can then join their family in the audience if they want to view the rest of the show. All performers will be encouraged to join us for our finale, a special number organized by Mrs. Tyler and the talented students from the Milford High School Theater Department.
Important Specifics: All performances, music, and costumes must be age-appropriate. All performances are subject to approval by Mr. Chisik.
