Families, join us this Thursday, March 13th from 8:15am-9:00am for breakfast pastries, fruit, and drinks! We are so excited for this family engagement event hosted by our amazing PTA! Please RSVP using the QR codes on the flyer. And for some extra fun, join Mrs. Mondrush and Mr. Smith for a special read aloud in the library! We will see you there!

What's cooking in Johnson's Tech Lab?
Pizza! Third graders are using the iPads and an interactive system called Osmo to play "Pizza Incorporated", a game in which they run a pizzeria. Students use special manipulatives to interact with the iPad. They need to take orders and make specific pizzas, then create proper change when the customers are ready to leave. Mr. Mauller says they are having a blast!

Ms. Needham’s class had a special author visit! J.P. Rehbine, author of “Time to Fly,” came in and visited with them. They read Time to Fly as a class prior to his visit. Fun was had by all!📚

Winter Outdoor Recess Reminders! :)
Please remember that you must send your students to school with the proper cold weather gear. A heavy coat, Gloves, hats, and snow pants. If a student doesn't have boots or snow pants, they will be told that they have to stay on the blacktop areas of the playground. We do have a small selection of coats and boots that can be borrowed for that recess, but we can't always guarantee that there will be something available for them to wear. Those items MUST be returned after the recess is over. It is important that they remember their things from home.
Students will be expected to go outside for recess unless the wind chill is 0 degrees or lower. They will then have indoor recess.
A Doctors note must be provided in cases where the student is not able to go outside. We cannot accept letters from parents. It must be from a Dr.
Thank you for your help and support!

Families, save the date! Our next Dining for Donations is January 15th, 2025! A portion of the sales go back to our school for teaching and learning.

Today, first graders visited Troy Historical Museum. Such a fun learning experience! Firsties had the opportunity to immerse themselves in an 1880s one room school and learned how going to school was much different than it is now.

Jags, the season of giving is upon us! This year, we are starting our pop top tabs fundraiser back up! All pop tabs that are collected by our Johnson Jags will be taken to The Ronald McDonald House of Ann Arbor at the end of the year. Pop tabs are recycled and the funds from recycled tabs go towards providing a home away from home for families of critically ill children. Start your collections! All tabs can be sent in ziplock bags and given to your classroom teacher.
