Lakewood Elementary

We are partnering with the White Lake Fire Department for our annual cereal drive, taking place this week, November 24th to December 5th. The boxes will be given to Goodfellows of White Lake Township.

We are doing things a little differently this year - it’s a grade-level contest! The WLFD will be providing a pizza lunch to the winning grade the week of December 15th.

The Holiday Shop will be open Monday, December 8th through Friday, December 12th.

Yesterday, the Girls on the Run team completed their community impact project. The girls chose a group in the community that “move mountains” and decided how they’d like to make a small impact for those who do so much! This year, they chose to impact an animal shelter. Their project of choice was making specialty name tags for animals up for adoption! They also created positive messages for pet owners in waiting rooms and cards thanking the janitorial staff for their hard work! Way to go, team!! Wish them luck on their 5k this Sunday! 👟🏃🏼‍♀️🥳

Today, 3rd, 4th, and 5th graders attended an assembly that focuses on character education, called The NED Show. NED is a loveable cartoon character whose name is an acronym for Never give up, Encourage others, and Do your best.
