Dear Lakewood Families,
At the end of the day on Friday April 4th, the items in the Lost and Found will be donated. Please come take a look at the Lost and Found located inside the main doors. Encourage your student to take a look through the Lost and Found for that missing coat or misplaced hat.
Thank you!

Yesterday half of our grades did their third round of SOAR expectation assemblies in areas of our school such as the cafeteria, playground, and their classrooms. They reviewed expected behavior and how they can earn SOAR tickets. Today, the second half of classes will attend.

When driving on the Bogie Lake Campus, it is important to remember that all traffic laws must be followed, including stop signs. We have several students that travel on foot between the middle and high school for classes, and we need to work together to make sure that everyone is safe. Additionally, if you drop your children off after 9:20, they must be walked in and signed in. Thank you for your attention to these matters.

Did you know that April is National Autism Acceptance month, and April 2nd is World Autism Awareness day?
World Autism Awareness Day is an internationally recognized day annually on April 2nd, encouraging Member States of the United Nations to take measures to raise awareness about autistic individuals throughout the world. Next Wednesday, Lakewood Hawks are encouraged to wear their SOMI "belonging" t-shirts or anything blue in support and acceptance of those with autism!

We hope you had a hootin' tootin' time at the Wild West Family Dance last Friday. Here are some cowboys and cowgirls enjoying their time on the wild frontier!

Today Mrs. Frazier's class earned PBIS bingo as their prize for earning over 600 SOAR tickets the last few weeks. They were joined by their 5th grade buddies, from Ms. Beach's class, who showed leadership skills by helping their buddy understand the rules of Bingo and picking out prizes! Anyone up for a round of mission impossible? Mrs. Currie's students are pros already! During their gym class this week, students worked in partners to carry hula hoops with jump ropes. What a fun challenge, that gets everyone moving!

Word on the street is, Mrs. Anderson's class is ABC-mazing! Her students paraded around the school sporting their individual letter vests that they decorated at home! It was so fun seeing their creativity flow through the different items added to their vests. What can you see?
