Last week, the junior kindergarten class went on their very first field trip to Kensington Farm! They learned about a variety of animals and their needs, making meaningful connections to their living and nonliving science unit. Everyone had an amazing time, and for some students, even the bus ride was a fun and exciting new experience! 🐷🐐🧑🌾

Mileage Club Updates!!
The week before a book fair is always a great day to run Mileage Club! 3 laps earned participants an entry into a raffle drawing for a free book for $10 or less. They were awarded an extra entry for every additional 3 laps! Our 2 lucky winners are proudly showing their earnings here! This week we have some special challenges posted! Community members are invited to attend an upcoming informational meeting to learn more about the Oakland County Regional Enhancement Millage proposal that will appear on the August 4, 2026, ballot.
The meetings will take place over the next few weeks at the Oakland Schools Technical Campus locations and are open to all interested Oakland County residents.
The meetings will take place as follows:
May 13, 6:30 pm: Oakland Schools Technical Campus - NE, 1371 Perry St, Pontiac, MI 48340
May 18, 6:30 pm: Oakland Schools Technical Campus - SE, 5055 Delemere Ave, Royal Oak, MI 48073
May 19, 6:30 pm: Oakland Schools Technical Campus - SW, 1000 Beck Rd, Wixom, MI 48393
May 27, 6:30 pm: Oakland Schools Technical Campus - NW, 8211 Big Lake Rd, Village of Clarkston, MI 48346
During the session, attendees will receive an overview of the proposed millage from local superintendents, including how funds would be distributed, the estimated impact on taxpayers, and what it could mean for local public school districts and the more than 175,000 students across Oakland County.
Attendees will also have an opportunity to ask questions.
