Lakewood S.O.A.R. Expectations

What are S.O.A.R. expectations?
S.O.A.R. is an acronym we teach Lakewood students, to help them remember our safety expectations in different locations in the building. These locations include the playground, the hallways, the bathrooms, the cafeteria, and of course the classrooms. Each year, students review classroom expectations with their new teachers, as well as review common areas through a series of SOAR assemblies. During these assemblies, students are reminded how they can earn SOAR tickets by following expected behaviors. SOAR tickets are then collected and counted each week. Students have opportunities to earn prizes as an individual. They also have the opportunity to increase their classroom total, which could earn them prizes, as well as adding to our whole school total which may earn a school-wide special surprise!
