Snowy weather is officially here. Please remember to send your students with appropriate cold-weather gear- coats, hats,snowpants, and boots.
Please remember that the district policy states children will go outside for recess unless:
The Temperature is 15 degrees Fahrenheit or below.
There is a “0” or below wind chill factor
The student has a note from his/her doctor to stay indoors due to an illness
We understand that appointments and unforeseen circumstances sometimes require students to be signed out early. However, every time a student leaves class early, it interrupts valuable learning time—for both the student and the entire class.
We appreciate your cooperation in minimizing these interruptions:
-Schedule appointments outside school hours (before 8:00 AM or after 4:00 PM) or during school vacations.
-Follow our sign-out deadline.
⏰ Sign-Out Deadline
No students will be released after 3:40 PM.
Please plan to pick up your child before 3:40 PM if an early dismissal is necessary. This allows staff to focus on the final minutes of instruction and ensures a smooth, safe dismissal for all.
📝 Early Pick-Up Procedure
Arrive at the Main Office: Press the call button with your photo ID visible to the camera.
Sign Out: While waiting, sign your student(s) out on the clipboard in the office vestibule.
Student Release: Students cannot be sent to the office in advance. Once signed out, we will call your student(s) down from class.
Tip: You may notify your child’s teacher in advance to prepare materials, but the student must remain in class until a parent/guardian is physically present to sign them out.

Tuesday- Dress Like Your Favorite Holiday Character Day
Wednesday- Holiday Necklace Day
Thursday- Holiday Hat Day
Friday- Holiday Pjs & Sing Along Day

🎉 Exciting News at Heritage! 🎉
A big congratulations to Sarah Cuddeback and Denise Endicott, who received HVEF grants presented by Jennifer Hollander, HVEA President!
📚 Sarah got funding for our One School, One Book program—we can’t wait to see which book she picks!
🔢 Denise received two grants: one for Heritage to provide a math tool cart for every grade level, and one for Highland Elementary to fund STEM bins for grades 2–5 (with some materials coming to Heritage too!).
We are so proud of these amazing staff members! 💙✨
