WLMS hosted it's Honors Night on June 4th. Students in 6th and 7th grade were awarded certificates based on GPAs of 3.0 and higher. Our 8th graders were awarded certificates for GPAs of 3.0 and higher as well as the President's Education Award for all 8th graders who achieved a minimum of 3.75 for each of the 5 completed semesters of middle school.

In addition to these academic honors, select 8th graders received the Richard Yeager Excellence in Athletics Award and the Janet O'Brien Buchanan Excellence in Fine Arts Award. The Richard Yeager award is presented to select 8th graders who best exemplify the traits of honesty, dedication, competitive spirit, and exceptional sportsmanship. The 8th graders selected for this year's award were Bryce Borders, John Klein and Madison Selahowski. The Janet O'Brien Buchanan award is presented to select 8th graders who distinguish themselves through their passion for art, compassion for others and an enthusiastic, positive spirit. This year's award was presented to Brianna McGinnis, Amelia Palmer and Chloe Smith.
