Thank you to the Huron Valley Educational Foundation for awarding 3 grants to Heritage Elementary Staff! Mrs. Black was awarded a grant to support her yearly event, One School, One Book. Mrs. Szalay was awarded a grant to create quiet corners around our building. The second grade team was awarded a grant to purchase more STEAM equipment for their grade level.

Amanda Freeman, Heritage mom and owner of Mixie Design Co., is hosting mini photo sessions to benefit this year's Heritage Elementary Giving Tree. Over the past 4 years, Amanda's give back photo event has raised over $4000 for deserving families within our school community, and she's hoping that this year is the best one yet. To ensure a big impact, three dates have been opened up and Heritage families get first dibs on spots.
Mini photo sessions are perfect for families, kids, grandparents, dogs, or anyone who would cherish having their memories photographed. The direct link to book is below.

Heritage Elementary is so lucky to have Mrs. Gustafson as their school psychologist! Today Heritage Elementary honored 34 Veterans at their 6th annual Veterans Day Assembly. All Veterans and their families were invited to a breakfast in their honor provided by the Heritage Staff. Commander Joe Salvia from AMVETS Post 2006 led the color guard in the placement of colors.
