In Ms. Vivier's 4 year old preschool class the paint easel was introduced to students in a large group. Our class learned about art with primary and secondary colors.
We also explored the science of mixing primary red, blue and yellow colors with secondary colors to make orange, purple and green.
At small group time we utilized paper plates sectioned into 6 pie shapes to explore painting and color blending.
At work time we opened up the paint easel. The students are able to paint pictures at work time to take home or to decorate our classroom, their choice.
It was a fun day at preschool learning, exploring and trying new things!

This week in Ms. Robyn's class we experimented with our senses and apples. Feel, smell, colors and taste. After charting the kids likes, the "Green" apples were the favorite!

Mrs. B's ECSE room is working hard to identify body parts! Mat Man has been a great resource for our learning!

Ms. Hattie's class has been working hard learning "whole body listening" and what we CAN do. The kids worked on their fine motor skills also, by cutting, gluing, and coloring their own Mr. Potato head pieces. In their groups, we did each part at a time, so we had time to talk about each body part individually, and what we can do.

The Green Beans expanded their interest in babies by playing a matching game with their own baby pictures and putting it together to create a class baby book! They have been pretending to be doctors, playing with sounds in nursery rhymes, and talking about how to properly care for babies. They are such a compassionate and caring bunch! 💚
