Happy Monday, Lakewood Families!
Last week may have been a short one, but it was filled with exciting learning experiences and celebrations!
Our second graders enjoyed a trip to downtown Milford, where they visited the fire station, toured the Milford Historical Museum, played at Central Park, and wrapped up the day with a delicious cookie from the Milford Bakery. The weather couldn't have been better for a memorable field trip!
Our kindergarten and third grade students also had a special visit from the White Lake Fire Department, where they explored one of the department's fire trucks. The highlight for many students was getting a chance to take turns spraying the fire hose!
On Friday, we welcomed back members of the Lakeland High School Class of 2026 as they returned to their elementary school one last time before graduation. Seniors visited classrooms, thanked former teachers, took photos, and even spent some time on the playground. Congratulations to the Lakeland Class of 2026 on their graduation! We also celebrated earning 18,000 SOAR tickets by enjoying Kona Ice during recess.
Friday also marked our annual Lakewood Fun Fair! A huge thank you to our amazing PTA for sponsoring this wonderful event and for everything they have done throughout the school year to create memorable experiences for our students and staff. It was the perfect way to celebrate the end of another fantastic year.
We hope everyone enjoyed the beautiful weekend. Have a wonderful final full week of school!
