Happy Monday, Lakewood Families!
I hope you got to enjoy some quality family time over the spring break, and Easter Holiday.
Our 3rd and 5th grade students have worked really hard on their English Language Arts MSTEP last week. This week, our 5th grade students will be taking the math MSTEP and our 4th grade students will be taking the English Language Arts MSTEP.
Additionally, last week, I met with all grade level classes with the exception of Mrs. Fus’ class (they will see me next week) to go over our common (SOAR) expectations at recess.
Our expectations at recess are as follows:
Show Pride and Respect: listen to the adult(s) in charge, include others and be kind, and show good sportsmanship.
Obtain Goals: Move your body, take a break, and have fun!
Act Responsibly: Use equipment as intended, bring in all equipment, and run to line up when the whistle is blown.
Remember Safety: Follow game and recess rules, keep hands and body to self, and report issues to an adult.
I wanted to share that we are able to lift our restrictions on foods and beverages that have cinnamon. However, we will still need to restrict products containing cinnamon compounds- including perfumes, lotions, hand sanitizers, and soaps. If an ingredient includes “cinn,” it is often a cinnamon-related compound. Thank you so much for your help with this!
