Happy Monday, Lakewood Families!
Thank you to all of you that have completed the Parent Perception Survey. We appreciate your feedback.
Kids Heart Challenge is in full swing. Students can be completing Finn’s challenge and collecting donations if they choose. The Kids Heart Challenge event is on Saturday, February 28th at Lakeland High School from 9-11 am.
If you have not already filled out the Education Benefits document, please do so.
It was previously called the Free and Reduced Lunch application. However, because all students get free meals, the data from this form determines vital funding for schools that benefit ALL students. The form unlocks benefits like reduced fees for families who need it (test fees, activity costs). It helps our schools qualify for additional federal funding for support programs rather than using general fund. The form can be found below. If you are not able to print it off, please call the office and they can print it out for you. Once you fill out the form, it can be returned to the school. Unfortunately, there is no online version for this form.
Friday was the final day of term 2 and semester 1. Friday afternoon, our teachers worked on inputting grades and comments into the report card. Report cards will be posted on Family Access no later than January 29th at 3:00 PM.
With the start of semester 2, the district’s Personal Communication Device policy will go into effect on Tuesday, January 20th. Prior to Tuesday, please take some time to review the new PCD guidelines on the district website.
Thank you, and I hope you enjoyed the long weekend!
