Happy Friday, Lakewood Families!

Our students and staff enjoyed celebrating Lakeland Homecoming week with a spirit week. I hope you are able to get out in this beautiful weather and take advantage of the parade, which is on our campus beginning at 5:30 PM and the football game, which begins at 7:00 PM.

This week our students engaged in their first fire safety drill, and they did an amazing job listening to their teachers, making straight orderly lines, and being quiet while waiting for directions to re-enter the building.

A few things are coming up…on November 14th, Smile Programs will be seeing patients on campus with signed permission slips. Teachers either have or will be sending home the fliers/permission slips for this. If you don’t receive it, here is the link to access these forms. Smile programs can provide an exam, preventative care, and referrals for any treatment that may be needed. They also provide a free toothbrush. They accept Medicaid and private insurance, as well as self pay. Additionally, we will be partnering with White Lake Fire Department once again for a cereal drive that will support Goodfellows, Open Door, and Community Sharing. The cereal drive will be November 24th to December 5th. The class that brings in the most cereal boxes will earn a pizza party sponsored by the White Lake Fire Department.

To wrap-up this week’s edition, I wanted to remind you all that there should not be any visitors on the playground during school hours, including younger siblings. You are welcome to use the playground after school hours with your families. Thank you for your help with this.

Have a great weekend!
