Next week is IAW Fall Olympics (Monday, 9/29 - Friday, 10/3).
Mon - Twin day: dressed the same as at least 1 other person.
Tues - Pink vs Blue: wear as much of each or both colors as you can.
Wed - PJ day: Let's get comfy.
Thurs - Cartoon Day: Wear anything involving a school appropriate cartooon.
Fri - Class Color Day: Wear your classes selected color. 9th - Pink, 10th - Red, 11th - White, 12th - Black This is a good chance to wear your Class Shirt! #IArocks

This is a friendly reminder that tomorrow, Wednesday, September 24th, is an early release day. Students will be dismissed at 11:00 a.m.

This early dismissal allows our staff to participate in a professional development session focused on the school community.

IAW seniors spend Thursday, Friday and Saturday completing their Collaborative Sciences Projects at Camp Tamarack. There was lots of science, fun and friends! Great job all! #IArocks

These IAW Class of 2026 students are being recognized as Commended or Semi-Finalists in the National Merit Scholarship Program. Approximately 16,000 Semifinalists are recognized nationwide out of the 1.3 million participating students, representing less than one percent of U.S. high school seniors. These academically talented high school seniors have an opportunity to continue in the competition for some 6,870 National Merit Scholarships worth nearly $26 million. Congratulations to Anna and Jamie! Commended students are among the top 50,000 high achieving students out of the 1.5 millions students who took the PSAT11 NMSQT. Last weekend, the IAW Dungeons and Dragons club made their way to the Renaissance Festival in Holly with their sponsor, Ms. Buente. The weather was great and so were some of their axe throwing skills axe target 🎯 🪓 #IArocks

Today, IAW seniors did some international traveling, making their way to Stratford, Ontario to see MacBeth. 🎭 Before heading out early this morning, some students prepared a tailgate breakfast! 🥞 Another great reason to be an IAW student, such a fun example of our community! #strengthinunity #IArocks

Last Thursday, the Lakeland Girls Golf team participated in the Patriot Player/Coach Scramble hosted by Livonia Franklin. IAW golfers, Anna Linen, Cailyn Milewski, Claire Linen, and Kylie Yen teamed up with their coach. No surprise to us, the Eagles took first place in the event with a score of 56 in the 16 team field. The team made 12 birdies and an eagle in the scramble. Congrats!! #IArocks #HVSproud

Starting off the year with a full school seminar. Mr. Parrott shared our year-long theme, Strength in Unity. Staff are excited to build a community of belonging with all the students. HVS Superintendent, Dr. Salah shared a few words about cherishing the moments, stories and experiences of high school. IAW Teachers gave a quick introduction to themselves and we wrapped up with popsicles and a time to bond outside! 2025/26 is going to be a great year! #IArocks
