International Academy West Campus

Monday (4/27) is an Early Release Day. Teachers will be working on feedback on first drafts of 11th grader Extended Essay's. Please plan for an 11 AM dismissal.

IA-West Campus Families, Please see the invitation below for our Senior Clap Out for the Class of 2026. All families, including siblings, are invited to celebrate our Seniors' last full day of classes before they begin their IB External Exams. Come help make this celebration a lasting memory for our students. Current forecast is 80°F and partly cloudy!

This past weekend, the IA West Model UN team capped off its season at Oakland University's Model UN conference. This was the first time since 2019 that an IA West team has attended a multi-day, college-run conference, and it was a great success! Students represented their assigned countries on committees debating a wide range of topics, such as: the implications of artificial intelligence for international security, tariffs and global trade imbalances, combatting ocean waste, thawing permafrost and global health security, migrant smuggling and human trafficking, and addressing the hazards of potential impacts from celestial bodies.

Several students won awards for their diplomatic skills and overall performance: Saad Ali, Grace Gammou, Kian Gordon, Saanvi Gudi, Aanya Janga, Matthew Kena, and Rishi Muddana. Additionally, Aanya Janga won the "Gavel Award" as the best delegate on her committee. Congratulations to all! Everyone on the team showed excellent preparation, engagement, and professionalism, and represented themselves and IA West well!

Congratulations to IAW Junior Sam Green who has been recognized as a Nominated Outstanding Soloist for the MSBOA Spring Honors Festival.
