We are pleased to continue the online system to schedule Parent/Guardian and Teacher Conferences. This system – Conference Manager – is user-friendly for families and has been very successful in the past few years. Conferences this year will be a mix of virtual and in-person sessions. Virtual sessions will be conducted over Google Meet. In-person sessions will be in the Lakeland Media Center.
Conferences will be at the following times:
Wednesday, October 29th: 5:00-8:00 pm In-Person
Thursday, October 30th: 1:00-4:00 pm Virtual
Thursday, October 30th: 5:00-8:00 pm In-Person
The process for booking interviews is broken into the following steps:
Step 1: Pre-Register at https://ia-west.schoolsoft.com
This can be done at any time. It is suggested that you PREREGISTER prior to Sunday, October 12th. You can set up a Parent Account by following the link above. Click the REGISTER NOW button and complete the registration form. Your login credentials (email and password) will remain in the system to make it easy to access the Conference Manager in the future.
If you used the system last year for IA-West, then you just need to log in. If you forget your password, you can select the “Forgot Your Password” link and have it sent to you.
To ensure your email program does not block emails sent from the Conference Manager, we suggest adding appointments@schoolsoft.com to your address book.
Step 2: Conference Manager Opens to Parents/Guardians – Sunday, October 12th at 6:00 p.m.
You can access the Parent Login Page using the link in the Confirmation Email. If you do not receive a Confirmation Email, you can login by going directly to https://ia-west.schoolsoft.com
Step 3: Book your Time Slots for the teachers
Select the session(s) you want to attend
Select the teachers you need to see. In general, parents will visit 5 or 6 of the 8 teachers on the schedule. You do not need to meet with the seminar teacher.
Now you will see each teacher’s schedule for that session. Please try to leave five minutes after the end of one session before booking the next. For example, if a conference is from 6:00 to 6:05, please try to select the next conference with a start time of 6:10 or later.
After booking your appointments, you can print off your schedule. You will also receive an email containing the teacher’s name and the time of the conference. You can log into the system anytime to view your bookings, print, cancel, or re-schedule appointments. You can submit comments or questions to the teacher as part of the booking process.
Before October 29th, you will receive detailed instructions regarding joining conferences via Google Meet..
If you are in need of an interpreter, please fill out this form by 10/20/2025. If you have questions or issues with this form, please contact Sara Buente at sbuente@bloomfield.org
Important Dates:
Anytime – Pre-Registration begins
Sunday, October 12th – Start scheduling your interviews at 6:00 p.m.
Tuesday, October 28th – Conference Manager closes at 11:30 p.m.
Wednesday, October 29th – Thursday, October 30th; Parent/Guardian and Teacher Conferences conducted through Google Meet and in-person.

Congratulations to IAW graduate, Class of 2016, Nicholas Barron for his 2025 CAP Distinguished Medical Student Award and the 2025 CAP Foundation Sparking Interest in Pathology Award in the field of pathology. Current IA students, pay attention to Nicholas' advise about mental well-being, "I wish I hadn’t been so hard on myself during undergrad. Now, I make it a rule to stop working at 8 p.m. every night. Prioritizing your well-being is crucial.”
