Mrs. Zambito recieves HVEF Grant

Mrs. Zambito was surprised early this week to learn she had won a grant from the Huron Valley Education Foundation (HVEF). Sarah Moore from the HVEF stopped by to share the good news and present Mrs. Zambito with a certificate. The grant will provide iPads for Harbor's video production class. According to the grant application, these tablets will help students "build essential 21st-century skills such as communication, teamwork, critical thinking, digital literacy, and media production. While our students are unable to access their own personal devices during the school day, access to this shared equipment will allow them to be better prepared for possible career pathways in media and digital communication fields."

According to their mission, the HVEF supports students and teachers in Huron Valley by "providing greater opportunities to enhance learning experiences; generating and distributing financial resources to benefit citizens in the Huron Valley community; and collaborating with like-minded organizations" . Mrs. Zambito is grateful to the HVEF and can't wait to start brainstorming project ideas with her video students using the new iPads!
