A group of students in Harbor's advanced video and ELA 12 (speech) classes have teamed up to create a bi-weekly announcements broadcast. The students are practicing production skills including scriptwriting, staging, lighting, sound design, and shot planning. Speech class students are gaining an opportunity to practice speaking in front of and engaging an authentic audience. Students plan to incorporate and share upcoming projects including student-produced public service announcements, commercials, and Harbor community interviews.
