Our school community was thrilled to welcome back Rory, the Detroit Lions mascot, along with his team! During their visit, they engaged students in an inspiring assembly focused on the theme of being a "Leader for Life." The event was filled with high-energy fun and games, allowing our students to interact with Rory and learn valuable lessons about leadership and character. It was a fantastic opportunity for our students to connect with a professional sports team and gain insights from their experiences, including how each athlete used the leadership skills they acquired as children to rise to the top!
In addition to the assembly, students had the unique opportunity to be filmed by Huron Valley Schools TV interns, who collaborated with professionals from the Detroit Lions organization to create two awesome videos that helped capture the energy. A special HVS video featuring our students was created during this event, which you can view here. Be sure to check out the live footage on the Detroit Lions Youth Football Facebook page as well.
We would like to thank our incredible PTA and parent community, as the Color Run funds were able to provide this memorable assembly for our school, fostering a sense of “pride” and connection to the Detroit Lions! LET’S GO!! #coelionpride
